Day 5: Paris, France - Notre Dame and running around Île de la Cité

Day 5 dawned nice and early, and we took the Métro to the oldest stop in Paris: Cité. We walked out of the station to hear the chirping of birds in the place that is usually the flower market. it turns into a bird market on sundays :) however we did find some flowers...

the Jillcam came back on.

once we were done with lunch, we tried to get into Saint Chapelle, but we just missed the last entrance :( so we decided to wander around the island.
we walked back to where our cruise left from, aka, pont neuf...

...and rachel and natali had the bright idea to stick their toes in the Seine.

lots of squealing ensued. "that's so groooooooosss!", you know...

they thoroughly scrubbed their feet, and then all was well. we decided to go explore a bit more of paris, so we hiked back to cité...

...and got back on the train to explore. we went a few places, i got felt up by some pervy frenchman on a very crowded subway, and we went home. exciting, eh?
